51 Followers. 0 Comments? and An Update

Okay, so, I have 51 followers, but... most of my posts get 0 comments. That's a little disheartening. Even if all 51 of my followers read these posts, I have no way of knowing.

So, I'd like to run a little experiment. If you're an active reader of this blog, comment on this post!

Anyway, here is a little update from my family.
A few weeks ago, we were called down to Santa Rosa, California for a week to candidate for the position of senior pastor at Calvary Assembly of God, as a follow up to an interview that my parents went to.
We were voted in as the senior pastors upon a UNANIMOUS decision. That's UNHEARD OF! :D
Anyway, for the last few weeks, we have been packing up our lives and preparing to move to the Sunshine State of California!
Also, I started a new blog at Wordpress.com. Mostly to try and get a feel for the site. It is a more thoughtful blog and it's less book related, but some of you might enjoy it. There is a particular post that goes along with the process of moving to California. You can find it here.

Anyway, don't forget the experiment!

God bless,
Brian

  1. Lol Brain. I have the same problem at my blog. I have 64 followers but most of my posts don't have any comments. I do read your blog a lot, but sometimes commenting "Loved the post!" or whatever just seems silly. I'll try to comment more!
Do you like the Wordpress feel? Wordpress blogs make me sad because they don't normally show in my Bloger newsfeed.

    1. Hey, Sarah! Thanks for participating in my little "experiment". It's just really nice to know that people do read your blog. :) I'm sure you all understand the feeling.
Wordpress... took a while to get used to. It was really confusing at first, but one I got the hang of it, it works fairly well. I still prefer Blogger though because it's much more user friendly and it allows you to personalize more without having to pay extra.
      Thanks for reading!

    1. Great! Thanks for taking time out of your day to read my posts! I understand that people don't always have time. I'm just happy to know that all of the effort I put into this blog is noticed. :)
      God bless,

  3. I try to comment when I see a post where I have something to say. Ask us questions in your posts and I'll probably be more likely to comment my answer.

    1. That's the way I am. I could probably stand to comment on the many, MANY blogs I follow more often too. :) Life is busy, and there's nothing that us mere mortals can do about that, as much as we wish we could. :)
Thanks for participating in my experiment!
      God bless,
      Brian

  4. I have to admit I'm not an active reader; I am quite over-ambitious when it comes to following blogs, so many of them suffer a lack of comments from me. :P I do read some of your posts when I can, but I don't feel I often have anything worth contributing by way of comments, which also accounts for my slackness. :P

  5. Make that 52 followers. :D

I just joined, and I hope to be an active commentator. Though I agree, asking questions gives the reader's a motivation to comment.

  6. I'm not an active reader of your blog yet, but I will comment. :) Congratulations on your family's new position! My family is currently going through a very similar transition. I hope it works well for you.
